The Adobe Creative Cloud team will host a UX design-focused Creative Jam on Thursday, April 5 from 7 pm to 9:45 pm. The event will bring together creative minds in the Valley at Events on Jackson, an event space at the intersection of East Jackson and Third streets.

Part of the event is a one-hour showcase of three creative leaders: Lynn Fisher, UI/UX designer, front-end development and illustrator at &yet; Aldo Mucino, UI designer at Synapse Studios; and Jamie Nuzbach, creative director at Ideas Collide. There will also be a tournament for ten teams of chosen designers. The teams are given a theme and may begin working an hour before the event. They must work together to complete a project, culminating in a presentation of their Adobe XD creations to all participants. Audience members will get a chance to vote for the popular winner, and a panel of judges will choose the grand prize winner.

The event is beneficial to rising designers thanks to one-on-one portfolio review opportunities. Participants will be able to meet with local creative leaders for 15 minutes and receive feedback about materials and advice on how to find clients. The sign-up link for portfolio reviews can be found here.

Besides the reviews, there will be plenty of time for networking. Free beer, wine, soda, and food will be available, and there is dedicated time at the end of the event for socializing and meeting the design tournament teams.

The Adobe Creative Jam is free and open to anyone interested in testing their creative skills. More information about the event and the registration link can be found here.
