America’s favorite members-only cocktail app expanded to Phoenix and Tucson this Wednesday with the acquisition of Tipsy, a similar Arizona-based application.

Hooch is a subscription-based mobile app that allows members to enjoy a new cocktail every day. For just $10 a month, Hooch provides its members with a free daily cocktail at a number of stylish lounges and bars. Hooch previously served New York City, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Miami, Hong Kong, and San Diego—but now, through Tipsy’s acquisition, it’s adding Phoenix and Tucson to its list.

Tipsy is an equally impressive app: one that allows its users to skip lines, get free drinks, and never pay a cover charge at select bars in Phoenix, Tucson, and Montreal. The app is becoming Hooch’s third “nightlife app” acquisition, after Flux and Grotto. All three acquisitions will help boost Hooch’s membership database and venue roster.

Hooch’s Phoenix venues will include Moonshine, Shady Park, Casa Sunba, Blue Martini, and many more.

As part of the acquisition, all existing Tipsy users will gain access to hundreds of Hooch partner venues across the country. They won’t need to sign up for a new account, either; Tipsy users’ login information will merge seamlessly with Hooch’s system. Tipsy free account users can begin to use Hooch for just $1 for the first month.

Some of Tipsy’s management will merge with the app as well. Tipsy CEO Eli Chmouni will become Hooch’s Vice President of Western Regions, while Tipsy CTO Correy Schultz will direct Hooch Labs, the company’s new research and development division.

“Our members have been so dedicated to us since our launch. Now, joining the Hooch family, we can reward them with the benefits they love across the country,” said Chmouni in a Hooch press release. “Joining forces with the leader in the nightlife and drink tech space, we can’t wait to bring new innovations to cocktail and nightlife lovers worldwide.”

Arizonians new to Hooch can sign up for $10 a month or $99 a year.

“Tipsy has attracted a loyal following in the Phoenix market, with over one third of their premium members being active subscribers for over a year. It’s the perfect marriage bringing the Hooch experience to thousands of Tipsy fans so they can now enjoy cocktail discovery at hundreds of venues worldwide,” said Hooch CEO Lin Dai. “Not only did we acquire a great app and technology, we are excited for such an accomplished team to join the Hooch family. Together, we are poised to take on new challenges and super charge Hooch’s growth.”

Welcome to Arizona, Hooch!
